Achievements
I have made mosaic items and murals which have been sold privately and through retail outlets.
I have designed and carried out murals in mosaic and in plaster on commission for public buildings and taught in schools and evening institutes.
Progression
From a love of historical mosaics of the Roman and Byzantine eras has grown a fascination with using a variety of materials in my mosaics and murals.
Form and texture as well as colour has always featured in my work and this has lead to the development of relief and three dimension in my art.
Over the years my use of stone, marble, slate, metal, glass and plaster mouldings, along with traditional Italian smalti. This has led to an interest in using coloured transparent and opaque glass which is evident in my current work, a series of fish.
